Much needed rest day! With the husband MIA for a while, the last week of July was marked by a couple two-a-days, including a brutal leg burner on Thursday, that I brilliantly followed up with a very slow 4 mile run. Yeah.
Saturday, August 2
A - Month of Burpees Challenge (MOBC)- Goal: 500/week, 100/day, with allowance for rest days if needed
Benchmarks
50 in 4:19
77 in 7:00
100 in 9:14
After joining the facebook group, and setting a goal, I came across this video. Since I'm writing this on my 3rd day, I have already discovered how varried the burpees can really be! I'm going to shoot for 100 a day. I know it's possible. But I'm not changing my goal, because I am already pushing my body pretty hard. We'll see.

B - Pull Up Program (PUP) Week 1: Day 1
1 Strict Attempt
10 Pull Up Shrugs
5 Negatives
10 Strict Assisted Pull Ups (Band)
This program is to be done 3-4 times a week with a rest day in between. No problemo!
I tried to get a benchmark video for you, but it was after the burpees and the whole PUP. This means I may as well have just videoed myself standing by the bar. (-; There was nothing happening!
Sunday, August 3
A. MOBC - 100 Burpees, 10x10 throughout the day.
Today, I focused on using my knees less. Thanks to the bruises from using them too much yesterday!
B. Running - 6.37 in 1:19 I wasn't really in a hurry. Just getting in the miles.
Monday, August 4
A. Assisted with coaching CFK today! <3 Snuck in my PUP after.
B. Crossfit
Warm Up
Includes basics, and typically body weight skill work, so today we did 2 sets of max push ups, and 3 sets of max strict pull ups. I was able to do 10 push ups, and some banded strict. Nothing worth mentioning.
12min AMRAP
3 Power Clean (Rx=105, I did Scaled # = 75)
200 M Run
9 rounds in 12:26. Definitely should have gone heavier. I was fast though. Proud of my runs.
C. MOBC - 100 Burpees, 10x10, through the evening.
Busy week so far! Nutrition-wise, it's a process. I can't plan workouts in advance, including runs, because of husband's schedule. This means I never really know what I'm fueling, and I haven't figured out how to combat that yet.

Still moving....
I'm still moving....I promise! Just not blogging! Honestly, the issue is, I get logged out of the account I use to blog every time I log in to my work email, and most of the time, I'm too lazy and and annoyed to sign back in. Yeah. I just admitted that.
So, what's happened? Well, I'm eating the way that's worked for me in the past - which means, not paleo. I'm a calorie counting gal, and it works, so I'm sticking with it. Until I change my mind again. I want to lose AT MOST 5-6 more lbs of fat (but that's a big AT MOST - I'm actually okay where I am), and then I expect to watch the scale climb as I get stronger. I DO NOT want to be stick thin skinny girl, at all. AT ALL. Even right now, I'm not liking the thinness of my arms and legs, but I know that it's temporary until I start eating to add muscle. It's more percentages than anything.
I broke my toe last Thursday. Ouch. No, really, OUCH. Pain. Worse than childbirth. Really. And then last Sunday, my loving husband stepped/kicked/twisted/mutilated it again. I screamed, cried, and blacked out. No, not really blacked out, I just couldn't convince myself to open my eyes. Or stand up. Or breathe. It was bad. I appreciate my pinky toe so much more now.
I ended up getting to know the recumbant bike at the gym (holy butt cramps!) then moved on to the elliptical, and yesterday I tried running again, after some short running bursts at boot camp this week were survivable.
April 20 5K 32 minutes (ugh...but it was early, no sleep the night before, and a broken toe)
I need to learn how to run. How to pace myself correctly etc. My best run times are treadmill times and I can push a lot harder when I see the numbers
Skill Set
5 Handstand Push ups (blah, yeah)
10 One Legged Squats
20 Double Unders unbroken (I did 15 the first round, 21 the second!!!!PR!!!, and 14 the third, but I tried for 5 minutes, lol!)
So...yeah...broken toe = PR unbroken double unders....
Today's WOD
Team Wod, I worked with Mary Schwing, our box's Masters competitor (60 plus) (-:
20 Min AMRAP
400M run
10 Power Cleans (RX was 95, we did 75# and I was done at the end, it was not going up again!)
10 Hand Release Push Ups
8+3 Rounds (so 8 full rounds, and 3 power cleans - meaning we did everything 4 times each, I think...)
