I need a goal...

I think I've said this already.

Anyway, todays WOD:

5x5x5x5x5 Deadlifts   (120#, tried 130# but my back was rounding, so back to 120 for me)

Followed by:
4 RFT
20 Wall Balls (10# to the 10' - my goal was height and I made it to the 10' today, so a-ok)
20 Kettle Bell Swings (35# UNTIL my running and DLs caught up with me in Rd. 4 - down to 26#)
400 m run (nice and comfy!)

Um, I think it was just over 17 min.  I got distracted by the exhausting and annoying KB situation.

I could have done better, but I just wasn't in it today.  I had a rough AM with the kiddos, and I "ran" a 5K this morning at the gym, plus a 10K two days ago.  Excuses, excuses.

Weigh In, Kettlebell PR

Yesterday's Weigh In

139 # (up from 136)
The good news is according to the magic scale, that 3 lb gain was muscle, bone, and water.  Mostly muscle.  My arms are getting bigger, thighs are getting smaller - not sure how that happened, lol!

For purely aesthetic reasons, namely bikini season, I would like to lose some fat still - tummy pudge isn't budging!  But my weigh in matches my diet - I'm eating to get stronger not to lose weight.

Now for more interesting numbers:

Today's WOD:
For Time:
30 HSPU (knees on a box - totally should have done feet on a box!)
40 Pull-ups (Blue for a few, followed by Blue/Red)
50 KB Swings (70/53 lbs.)*  (35# -WOOHOO, first time I've touched that Kettlebell!)
60 Sit-ups
70 Burpees

I will have to update my time when it's posted tomorrow....I have to say, after 70 Burpees, I was not thinking quite as quick as I'd like, lol!

The Sport of Fitness Has Arrived

Love it!

Today was a Rest Day, following 5 days on.  I'm feeling fantastic, aside from some bruised knees from HSPUs (handstand push ups) on the box.  For those of us who can't get full range of motion in a handstand, using a box jump box to at least get a similar form is the way to go.  I ended up spending all week working on arms/shoulders - which is fine, as it kept the soreness at bay!

Today's WOD:
In honor of "Nate"
AMRAP in 20 minutes, of:
2 Muscle-ups  (Progression - meaning I just practice the overall arm movements - I will probably NEVER get a M.U. - Mr. E is VERY strong, but doesn't have one, so....anyway, I'm only saying this so that I can one day eat my words, LOL)
4 Handstand Push-ups (8, Box, Knees)8 KB Swings (70/53 lbs.) (26#)
Chief Petty Officer Nate Hardy was killed Sunday February 4th during combat operations in Iraq. Nate is survived by his wife, Mindi, and his infant son Parker.
